What this directory is
PJ Florist Directory is an independent, editorially neutral index of florist businesses operating in Petaling Jaya. It covers 217 listed businesses, from established studios in SS2 and Damansara Utama to smaller neighbourhood shops in Taman Jaya and Puchong Jaya.
It exists for one audience: people in PJ who need to find a florist and want to compare options before picking up the phone or placing an order.
We have no ownership stake in any listed business and no commercial relationship with any of them unless a sponsorship is explicitly active and labelled (see below).
How listings get here
We pull publicly available business data, including name, address, contact details, and category, from public sources. We then synthesise recent Google reviews to produce a plain-language sentiment summary for each listing. We do not republish review text verbatim. We do not host or store individual reviews. Each listing page links directly to the business’s Google profile so you can read original reviews yourself.
If a business owner spots a factual error, such as a wrong phone number or outdated address, they can submit a correction and we will fix it. What a listed business cannot do is edit, request changes to, or dispute its own score, sentiment summary, or ranking position. Those are determined entirely by data.
How rankings work
Every ranking position in this directory is earned through a published rubric based on objective signals: review volume, recency-weighted rating, response behaviour, and completeness of business information. The full rubric is explained at /methodology/.
No business can pay to improve its ranking. No business can be penalised in its ranking for declining to advertise. The score you see next to a listing reflects data, not commercial arrangements.
How sponsorship works
Some listings carry a “Sponsored” label. This means the business has paid for additional visibility, typically a highlighted placement at the top of a category or area page. Sponsored slots are visually distinct and explicitly labelled every time they appear.
Sponsorship never changes a business’s earned ranking. A sponsored florist in Ara Damansara still holds whatever position the rubric gives it in the main ranked list. The sponsored placement and the earned ranking are always shown separately.
Who runs this
PJ Florist Directory is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with any florist association, shopping mall, or platform that sells flowers. Decisions about methodology, data sourcing, and editorial policy are made internally and documented publicly.

- Is this directory free to appear in?
- Yes. Any florist operating in Petaling Jaya can be listed at no cost. Being listed is separate from sponsorship, which is optional and clearly labelled when present.
- Can I get my business removed?
- Yes. If you own a listed business and want it removed, contact us with verification of ownership and we will take it down promptly.
- Why does my ranking look lower than I expected?
- Rankings follow the published rubric at /methodology/ and are based on data signals including review volume, recency-weighted rating, and profile completeness. You can improve your position over time by earning more recent reviews and keeping your business information accurate.
- Do you write the reviews on listing pages?
- No. We synthesise a sentiment summary from recent Google reviews but do not write or host individual reviews. Each listing links to Google so you can read original customer reviews there.
